still keep my TD credit card? Is there an "early closure" fee for closing a Convenience Checking account? The account was opened about a month ago.

Thanks for bringing your question to TD Helps, Heather. We would be more than happy to clear up any confusion with our Checking accounts and Credit Cards.
We would be sad to see you go but understand that sometimes it may be necessary to close your account. We are glad to say that there are no fees associated with closing a Convenience Checking account. Additionally, we understand that your banking needs may not always include having both a Checking and Credit Card account and that is not a problem. It is not necessary to have a Checking account in order to have a TD Credit Card. You are able to close your Checking account and your Credit Card will not be affected.
If you have a zero balance in your account you may call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and we would be more than happy to assist you in closing your account.
