Thanks for stopping by with your question today, Donna. We'd be more than happy to give you more information on using your ATM/Debit Card while traveling in Canada.
As a Customer of TD Bank, you'll be pleased to know that you have access to every TD Bank and TD Canada Trust ATM from Maine to Florida and throughout Canada for free. We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for more information.
Please keep in mind that the exchange rate you receive at any TD ATM is not set by the bank. Foreign exchange rates are published by the government and fluctuate daily, and customers will pay the VISA exchange rate at the time of withdrawal.
Please also be aware that a TD Canada Trust ATM may offer your current balance in Canadian Dollars. Should you visit there, we recommend reviewing your account balance in US Dollars by logging in to your TD Bank Online banking account at: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, or by calling a friendly Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000. We also suggest contacting us about a week prior to your trip to let us know the dates and location(s) of your travel, to avoid any interruptions in service when attempting to use your card once you arrive. This can be done using the same number as above, or at any local TD Bank Store. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Bank hours and locations near you.
You may also add travel notes on your account by sending a Secure Message through Online Banking. If you're not enrolled in Online Banking, please click here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Account Number, Debit Card Number, Social Security, and E-mail Address. Once you are enrolled, please sign into your account and click on the Customer Service tab and then select Send a Message. If you choose this option, please include the exact travel dates, destinations and if there will be any connecting flight if applicable. If you need help enrolling, please contact our Banking Specialist 24/7 by calling the number mentioned above. After account verification, our Specialists would be more than happy to help.
We hope this helps, Donna! We appreciate your question and stop by again with any questions you may have.
