Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Maureen. We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
If you'd like to have a direct deposit made to your savings account, the process is the same as for a checking account. However, please be sure that the depositor is aware that the account is a savings, as this can affect the routing of the deposit. There is currently no fee charged by TD Bank for this service, however; we recommend contacting the depositor directly to determine if any fees may be assessed by them.
To perform a Direct Deposit, you will need to provide the routing number. Please note that routing numbers are based on the state where you originally opened your account. If you know the routing number for your checking account, and your savings was open in the same location, you'll be able to use the same number. For a list of our routing numbers by state, please visit: http://bit.ly/1cmRPoF.
If you are unsure of the location or State your account was opened in, please contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and we'll be happy to provide you with your routing number. You are always welcome to visit us at a TD Bank store near you to get this information as well; please see: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR for our location finder.
We hope this helped, Maureen, and please enjoy the rest of your day.
