Great question, Tim. We'd be happy to review your minimum balance requirements.
The TD Convenience Savings account is a product that is no longer available to our Customers to open as a new account. Regardless of the type of account the Convenience Savings account is linked to, the minimum balance requirement is $250 to avoid a $5 maintenance fee.
If this account type no longer suits your needs, we invite you to take a look at the variety of savings accounts we currently offer found here: http://bit.ly/1g5vhXQ. You may also benefit from taking a look at our Savings Selector Toll found here: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you've decided on an account type that you like to change to, we offer a variety of ways to make the switch.
You can call us 24/7 and speak with a Representative by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, they would be happy to update your account to reflect the changes you'd like. If you're enrolled in Online Banking, you can even request this change from your online account by sending a secure message. You can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you're signed in, on the left hand side you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." When sending us the secure message, please be sure to provide us your account number and the account type you are requesting and we will be happy to process your request.
If you aren't enrolled in online banking yet, don't worry. You can enroll any time by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You'll need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, Social Security number and email address to complete the enrollment. If you have any trouble, you can call the number above or you can visit a TD Store during lobby hours. To check our locations and lobby hours please visit here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
You may also visit a TD Store during lobby hours to request the change for your Savings Account.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us 24/7 over the phone, by visiting a TD Store or writing to us here.
Have a great night, Tim.
