Hey, Allan! Thanks for joining us on TD Helps, and we appreciate you considering us for your banking.
Since you mention online bill payments and a debit card, please understand that typically these features are available only on Checking accounts. Money Market accounts do have debit card and bill payment ability as well; however, these accounts have limitations similar to Savings accounts, and generally aren't recommended if you need to make multiple transactions each month.
You're welcome to view more about all the products we offer online. Please review our Checking Account selection here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or, feel free to use our Checking Account Selector tool at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. And our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd.
To begin the application, you'll need your Social Security number and a valid personal identification such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. If you open your new account online, you can make your first deposit by using a bank account that you have at any other financial institution, a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, or a credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
If you'd prefer to open your account by phone, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to speak with one of our dedicated Customer Service Representatives. They will be more than happy to help you establish your new account. If you open the account by phone, our representative will be happy to provide convenient deposit options.
If you do not have a Social Security Number or if you prefer to visit a TD Bank Store, you may do that as well. Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores to search for the convenient TD Bank Store locations near you. As a Non-US resident, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature - State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature - Foreign Driver's License with Photo - US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date - College ID with Photo - Alien Registration Card with Photo - Permanent Resident Card with Photo
We also would like to provide another banking option in our TD Connect Card. With the TD Connect Card, you may also set this up to receive a Direct Deposit, as well as use the card for other options to meet your banking needs. Please check out http://bit.ly/1Ez2OWI for details, and also http://bit.ly/1EhaagM. We also invite you to check out http://bit.ly/1AHFwek for some Frequently Asked Questions.
We hope this is helpful information, Allan. Feel free to reply to us on TD Helps and have a great one.
