I am a college student who needs to Rent textbooks but they will not allow me because my card expires before the rentals due date. So can one get a debit card before its expiration date?

It's great to see you here at TD Helps today, Staci.
When your card is expiring, a replacement card will automatically be mailed to you about 30 days prior to your card expiration. Please note that debit cards are valid until the last day of the month listed as the expiration month on your card.
If you prefer to have a card sooner, we'd be glad to help you. We invite you to call one of our Banking Specialists at 888-751-9000, who are available 24/7. They can verify your address on file and issue a replacement card for you, which will arrive in approximately 7-10 business days.
Kindly note that if you've recently moved or your account requires an update to your address, we recommend giving us a call at the number above to ensure that the correct address is listed on your account.
If you'd like, you're also welcome to stop in at any TD Bank Store near you to pick up a new debit card. For locations and hours near you, please see http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please note that the card number issued to you at a Store may not be the same as your current card number. Once at the Store, please ask the Store Representative to close the replacement card which is already mailed to you since it will no longer be useful once you receive a new card at the Store.
Another way to request a card is by sending a secure message via Online Banking. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." When doing so, please include your current address so that we can ensure we're mailing the card to the right location for you.
If you are not enrolled in Online Banking, you are able to do so at any time by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. In order to complete the process, you will need your account number, ATM/debit card number, Social Security Number and email address. Once you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s). If you have any trouble enrolling, feel free to call us by using the 24/7 number listed above.
If this is in regards to your credit card rather than your debit card, we ask that you contact our Credit Card Specialists who are available 24/7 by dialing 888-561-8861. They would be happy to assist you in ordering a replacement credit card.
Thanks for stopping by, Staci and have a good one!
