We appreciate you visiting us at TD Helps today, Monica.
As this is pertaining to your specific account, we would need to review this further with you. As we would like to assist you directly, unfortunately, we do not have access to your personal information since this is considered an unsecured forum.
To best assist you, we recommend calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with one of our Banking Specialists. After account verification they'd be more than happy to review your account with you. Additionally, you may visit any TD Bank Store to have your account reviewed in person. For a listing of TD Bank Stores please see here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If it has been confirmed that you currently have a joint account and you would like to start your new account with your name only as the signer, please note that to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your account, we're unable to remove a signer's name from your joint account, the joint account can be closed at your request and a new one opened.
We invite you to take a look at what accounts we currently offer by clicking here: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of checking accounts and here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 for a list of our savings accounts. For a personalized recommendation for a checking account click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you have decided the type of the account you wish to open, you may visit www.tdbank.com or click here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i to take you directly to the account opening application. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at (888) 751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone.
As always, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank store to speak with a banking specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. You will need to bring a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
We hope this helps and have a great weekend!
