I've just opened an online account this morning (checking) and I opted to fund within 45 days at a branch. I set this up not realizing I have no branches close to me. Can I fund over the phone with a debit card?

Good morning, Karla, and welcome to TD Helps!
We're so excited to have you as part of the TD family, and we apologize that you're having trouble funding your new account. We'll be more than happy to provide you with all the different options you have to do so!
Here at TD Bank, there are a few different ways in which you are able to fund your account from outside of our footprint. First, you're welcome to perform an external transfer from an account you may have with another financial institution. In the event that your other financial institution does not offer a feature to transfer funds directly to your TD account, please don't worry, as you are able to transfer funds to or from an external account by simply logging into your Online Banking.
To get started, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking, which you can do from here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, as you mentioned that you just opened your account, we'd like to recommend that you connect with us directly so that we can assist you with your enrollment. To reach one of our Banking Specialist, you may dial 1-888-751-9000, 24/7.
Once you're fully enrolled, you'll want to click on the 'Transfers' tab, which you can find on the upper, left hand side of your screen. Next, under the 'Help and Related Tasks' box, click on the blue hyperlink that reads 'Transfer to or from your external accounts'. Next, you'll want to add your external account, and to do so, you'll want to click on 'Add a New Account' link. From here, select the account type, followed by your accounts nickname, the routing number, and the account number. Then, simply click 'Next'.
From here, you will be brought back to the External Transfer screen, and after entering in the amount, where you'd like the transfer to come from and then to, followed by the date of your transfer, you'll be all set! Generally speaking, external transfers are credited to your TD Bank account within 2-3 business days, and it's important to note that this can vary depending on the sending financial institution.
Once you have gained access to your Online Banking, you would also have the option of performing a mobile deposit after downloading TD Bank's Mobile Banking App! If you'd like to learn more about our app, you're welcome to check out the link here: https://go.td.com/1hOPk1H.
Making a mobile deposit is easy, and if you'd like to take advantage of this great feature, we'd like to recommend endorsing a check to yourself from another account you may have with another financial institution, and then simply snapping a picture. As this will be your first time, we'll be happy to walk you through the steps!
After logging into your TD Bank Mobile Banking app using your online banking credentials, click on the 'Deposit' icon, which can be found towards the center of your screen from the mobile app's homepage. Next, select the account you would like your deposit to be credited to, the amount of your check, and then take a picture of the front and back. After selecting 'Continue' simply confirm that the information you provided is correct, and then click 'Deposit Check'. You will then receive confirmation that your deposit was successful!
If you would prefer to not do your banking online, we understand, and have a couple different options still available to you.
Currently, we offer a Bank by Mail option. By using this option, you're able to simply mail us your deposit so that we may then process it for you. Should you wish to take advantage of this option, you may mail your deposit to:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, ME 04243
To prevent any delays in your deposit, please be mindful of these simple guidelines:
Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only)
Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
If using a blank deposit ticket, please write account number clearly
To prevent damage, transactions should not be stapled.
Your final option to credit your TD Bank account would be to perform a wire transfer at another financial institution. To receive a domestic wire transfer, it is necessary to provide the following information:
Wire To: TD Bank, Wilmington, Delaware, or your full Store address
Credit to: Your account title, your account number
In addition to all the information provided above, we'd like to take this opportunity to let you know that depending on the method you choose, a fee may be assessed. To learn more, we invite you to check out our Fee Schedule, which you can find here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to connect with one of our Banking Specialist, at the number mentioned above. We're always happy to help!
We look forward to having you as part of our TD family, Karla!
We hope you have a great day, and an even better holiday!
