I signed up for overdraft protection, but my card is still being declined. Just wondering why this may occur?

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear you've encountered some difficulties with your debit card, Jamie.
If you've enrolled in our optional TD Debit Card Advance Service in order to avoid Debit Card declines, then we may authorize ATM transactions or one-time debit card purchases even if the funds are not available in your account at the time of the transaction. Please take a look at this page for more detailed info about our TDDCA feature: http://bit.ly/1AlCYEy.
Please note that as this is a discretionary service, and a purchase or ATM withdrawal on your account may be declined even if you are enrolled in this feature. Please contact one of our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000 if you have any questions or would like to review this feature in more detail. If you can make it into one of our Stores, during normal lobby hours, you can also stop by to discuss it with a Specialist in person. Please find the TD Bank Store closest to you here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Also, please remember that fees may apply if your account becomes overdrawn. For specifics on overdrafts and how they may impact your TD Bank account, check out: http://bit.ly/Yv0ulC.
Lastly, TD Bank offers several different overdraft services available to our Customers. For more information to choose which option is the best for you, we invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1AlDFOr.
Jamie, please let us know of any other questions and all the best!
