Welcome to the TD Helps community, Dawn. We're happy to answer any questions you may have.
Currently, once an account is closed with TD, it cannot be reopened. Since you mentioned that a balance is owed, you would need to either visit a TD Bank Store or speak with our Recovery Department to settle the balance. To speak to our Recovery Department directly you may call 800-354-9769 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. For a listing of Store locations, please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
After any owed balance is resolved, you will become eligible to open a new account. We invite you to take a look at our current Checking and Savings options prior to your account opening. For information on the current Checking accounts TD Bank offers, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/UR7yr0. For a customized recommendation with our Checking Selector, answer the questions provided here: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7. If you are interested in Savings accounts with us, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7. You can also receive a customized recommendation for our Savings accounts too! Take a look here: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF.
There are a few options available to open a new account. You may call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to open a new account. You may also open the account online directly by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1fN7u4i. As always you can visit a TD Store during lobby hours for more assistance. When opening a new account, it will be required to have a photo ID and your Social Security number.
We hope this information is helpful and congrats on your new job!
