Thanks for submitting your question today, Richard.
At TD Bank, we offer free direct deposits into your TD accounts. For more information on signing up for direct deposit with TD Bank, check out: http://bit.ly/WBPCRW. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop by any of the TD Store locations in your area. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Once your direct deposit is all set up, it's possible that your employer will send a "test" deposit to us. If this is a practice of theirs, then the test transaction will be a zero dollar deposit to us listed on your account with their name. It will look just like your future deposits, but with a $0.00 transaction amount. This may occur on the first or second pay cycle after you provide your information to them.
If you'd like to see if we received this for your account, feel free to give us a call, at the above mentioned number or you can also stop in to any TD Store to inquire. You can also log in to your Online Banking account here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq to look for this type of transaction on your account.
We hope this information is helpful, Richard and take care.
