Hi Suzie, we appreciate you reaching out to us with this. It sounds like you're using our new Bank-by-Phone system and we'd love to help you out.
We've made some upgrades to our Bank-by-Phone (IVR) system for your convenience and we're glad that you like the new addition to enter in your debit card number! We know that many Customers are on the go, and it was important for us to be able to meet your Banking needs through this new feature.
Upon first use, the new and improved Bank-by-Phone system will prompt you to enter either your account number or your Debit Card Number, whichever you have available. Then, it will ask you to confirm the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. After entering your SSN, the system will then ask you to create a unique 4 digit Phone Code to use for future access through the IVR system. This Phone Code will replace your old Bank-by-Phone PIN and is independent of the PIN# associated with your VISA Debit Card. Some tips to remember when creating this Phone Code:
- Create something unique that will be hard for others to guess
- Choose numbers that you can remember, but do not easily relate back to you (i.e. birthdates, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
- You should not continue to use the last 4 digits of your SSN
- We recommend *not* using the same code as your Debit Card PIN Number to prevent unauthorized access
You may find some helpful information about our Bank-by-Phone system along with a chart of the new menu options here: http://bit.ly/1kjSBmQ. If you have any questions about the new system, please reach out to a live Banking Specialist at 888-751-9000. We're available 24/7 to answer anything and help navigate you through it if necessary.
Hope this helps Suzie. Please contact us through TD Helps if you have any other questions. Have a great day!
