Good afternoon, John, and welcome to TD Helps!
It sounds as though you're looking to take advantage of our Bank by Mail feature, and if this is the case, we'll be more than happy to help!
When looking to mail TD Bank your deposit so that we may credit the funds to your account directly, you may use the following address:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, ME 04243
Like any other deposits, a few simple guidelines apply:
Cash should not be sent through the mail
Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
Checks should be endorsed (and restricted for deposit only)
Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
If using a blank deposit ticket, please write account number clearly
Do not staple transactions
Just in case you may be aware, TD Bank has a couple other ways in which you may make a deposit to your account when you're not within our footprint, and we'll gladly review them with you!
We first offer a mobile deposit feature, which you can access directly from our mobile app on your smartphone. If you haven't yet downloaded TD Bank's mobile app, and would like to learn more, you're welcome to check out the link here: https://go.td.com/1hOPk1H. You may even use the link to download the app directly to your phone!
Once you have downloaded our app, and have logged on using your online banking credentials, to make a mobile deposit, you'll first want to click on the 'Deposit' button, which is symbolized by a camera towards the center of your screen. From here, you'll next want to select which account you would like your deposit to be credited to, followed by the amount. Next, simply take a picture of the front and the back of your check, and then select 'Continue.' Next, you'll be asked to confirm that the information you have entered is correct, and after selecting 'Deposit Check', you'll be finished!
Finally, using your TD Bank VISA Debit Card, you would also have the option of making a deposit at any non-TD ATM. When doing so, we always recommend depositing checks, and not cash. Additionally, please also know that funds from any deposits made at ATMs TD Bank do not own or operate may be subject to an additional verification hold. If you'd like to learn more, you're welcome to check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI. On pages 40-44 you can find our Funds Availability Policy.
If you would like to review any of the options mentioned above, or if you have any questions or concerns, we're here to help! Banking Specialists can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000, and for your convenience, are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We hope you found this information helpful, John!
Have an amazing weekend!
