I've moved out of an area that has TD Bank locations and I need to close the account. Can I please get the best address to do this? The account was opened in Florida.

We appreciate your visit today Kim. We'll be sure to guide you in the right direction today.
As you are interested in closing your account we have several options for you. First, we ask that you bring your account balance to zero. If you are still in the TD Bank footprint please feel free to stop in to withdraw your funds and speak with a Representative. They will be able to assist you with a closeout request.
If you are out of the TD Bank footprint you may also use a local ATM to withdraw funds from your account. If your account is a Checking with a Visa debit card, you can also opt to visit a bank in your area to request a cash advance of your funds. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, https://go.td.com/1cTejgt as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your ATM debit card at a non-TD ATM. Once the account balance is zero, you can contact a friendly Customer Service Representative to request that the account be closed at 888-751-9000.
If you're currently enrolled for online banking, you can also send us a secure online message to request to close your account after the balance is zero. Please log in to your account here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and once logged in, visit the Customer Service tab. The "Send a Message" link will be available there for you to make your request.
Another option to close the account is via a mailed written request. You may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your account number(s)
▪Your request to close the account(s)
▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized and mailed to your Home Store. You Home Store is the TD location where your account was opened at. If you are unsure of which Store is your Home Store, take a look at http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Please note, an account closing request generally takes 2-3 business days to be completed. With any of the options listed above, you will not be charged any fees for closing a deposit account.
Thanks for joining us and have a great day.
