Thanks for stopping by TD Helps, Nicole. We'd be happy to help.
To deposit a check that is written to a payee that is not listed on your friend's TD Bank account, you will need to stop into a TD Bank Store together. You and your friend, will need to bring Valid I.D.(State I.D., Driver's License or Passport) and complete an Endorsement Authorization and Release form with one of our notaries at any of our TD Bank Stores. For TD Bank Store locations please follow http://bit.ly/TDStores.
The deposited check will take 7-10 business days to be verified. Your friend may cash the check against their TD Bank account but the account holder will be held responsible for any checks that bounce. Please follow http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, for our fee schedule on a Return Deposited Item (RDI).
Hope this helps, Nicole. Have a wonderful weekend!
