I use a bill-paying service that mails checks to a name and address that I specify and that also will place account-number information on the check. May I use this service to send money for deposit to another person's account at TD Bank? For the address, I assume I would use TD Bank's usual address for mailing deposits, in Lewiston, Maine. But what name should the check be made out to, and what the account number should be stated on the check? Thanks.

Hi Larry, thanks for stopping by TD Helps today.
TD Bank does accept bill pay checks from other financial institutions. When mailing a check to a TD Customer we do recommend sending it to:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, ME 04243
Please make the check payable to the name of the TD Customer or the Business name and use their TD account number.
We hope this helps and don't hesitate to reply back if you have any additional questions.

Thanks for the response. I believe you've fully answered my question, but I'd like to be clear about one thing. The check will arrive in the mail payable to the order of the customer, but the check will not be signed or otherwise endorsed on the back by the customer. And then TD Bank will deposit the check to the customer's account, even though the check has no signature or other endorsement on the back of the check, right? Thanks again.

Welcome back, Larry!
You are correct. Our Bank by Mail Representatives will receive the check for our Customer and fill out a deposit slip on their behalf as well as mark the check "for deposit only."
We hope this sets your mind at ease, Larry and have a good day.
