I'm using the TD App to try to deposit a cheque. I typed in the correct amount for deposit, but when I confirm, it keeps giving me an error "The amount must match the amount shown on the cheque photo. If you entered the correct amount, please visit a Branch or ATM to complete your deposit". I live in Texas now... and don't have a branch in sight! How can I get this cheque deposited?

We appreciate the visit this morning, Erfan. We are sorry to hear about your Mobile Deposit difficulties and would be glad to help point you in the right direction.
As you are experiencing difficulties with initiating a mobile deposit, to best assist you, please connect with our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 800-493-7562. Our Tech Support Specialists would be happy to review this further with you after account verification.
Also, based on your concerns, we'd also like to mention that when utilizing TD Mobile Deposit, you may only deposit US Dollars checks. If you happen to have a foreign check (drawn on a bank that is located outside of the United States and/or not payable in U.S. Dollars), we apologize as the foreign check cannot be deposited via mobile banking, there are options available to you to make a Canadian check deposit into your TD Account.
You mentioned you are currently located in Texas where there are no TD Stores, no worries. You may consider our Banking by Mail service to send in your check deposit. Banking by mail is simple, and easy. All you would need to do is mail your deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A., ME2-074-017, P.O. Box Number 1190, Lewiston, ME 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If you need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, you can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank, Bank by Mail, 6 Atlantis Way, Lewiston, ME, 04243
We recommend visiting http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to learn more about our funds availability policy starting on page 39-page 41. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
If you have any further questions, please let us know or call 1-888-751-9000 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.
However, if by chance you have a TD Canada Trust account and are experiencing difficulties, we invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1XZIhpz for details that may help.
We hope this helps. Enjoy the rest of your day and please let us know if you have any other questions.
