Welcome to TD Helps, Prima! This is a great question. As you mentioned that you were looking to transfer funds to your friend, we'll be more than happy to provide you with all the different options you have! TD Bank currently offers a free person to person transfer service, called Send Money, which allows you to transfer funds to anyone within the United States, and can be accessed by simply logging right into your Online Banking! If you'd like to take advantage of this service, the first thing you'll want to do is log into your Online Banking, which you can do from here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled in Online Banking, don’t worry! You can start the enrollment process by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. In order to complete this process, you will need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your Social Security Number. Once you're able to fully access your Online Banking, towards the top of your screen, you should see a tab that reads 'Send Money'. If you have never used this service before, you may need to accept some terms and agreements, and after doing so, you will be brought directly to the Send Money feature. To get started with your transfer, you'll need your friends email address, phone number, or even their account number. Should you wish to send funds directly to their account, please know that you would also need their routing number. Should you opt to send the funds to their email address, or via a text message, after you complete the transfer via your Online Banking, they will receive instructions on how they may proceed to have the funds transferred directly to their account. If you haven't yet added your friend to your contacts, you can do so by clicking on the 'Add New Contact' towards the right side of your screen. Simply enter in their first and last name, and then select if you would like to send the funds to their phone, email address, or account number. After doing so, you will be prompted to enter in their information for whichever method you choose. After saving this information, you will then be brought to the screen where you are able to select the amount you wish to send, and the delivery speed. Currently, for Instant Transfers, your payee will need to be registered with Zelle and it will be required for your to have a TD Bank Debit Card; however, your friend does not need to be registered for you to complete a 3-day transfer. Regardless of the delivery speed you choose, this service is still free. After selecting the amount and the delivery speed of your transfer, simply confirm the account you wish to have this transfer be debited from, and then click 'Review'. This will bring you to a final screen, and after ensuring that all the information provided is correct, you will be able to send your transfer! In the event that you run into any trouble, or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact a Tech Support Specialist directly at 800-493-7562. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for your convenience, and will be more than happy to help. In addition to taking advantage of TD Bank's Send Money feature, as you mentioned that you'd like to visit a TD Store location to make a deposit directly into your friends account, you'll be welcome to do so. Here at TD Bank, we do not recommend sharing personal information such as your account number, with anyone, and in the event that your friend would prefer not to do so, please don't worry! During your visit, you may simply provide one of our knowledgeable Tellers with your friend's name, and they should be able to successfully credit the funds to their account. When doing so, it's important to note that they may wish to confirm your friends address or phone number to ensure the funds are being credited to the correct person, so we recommend also having this information handy. When you're ready to visit, you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information. We hope you found this information helpful, and if you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t' hesitate to connect with one of our Banking Specialists. They can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000, and for your convenience are available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thanks again for joining us on TD Helps today, Prima! Have a great weekend, and a safe and happy new year!
