Thanks for submitting your question to us, Tom!
For someone to send you money from another financial institution to your TD Bank account, it would be recommended for them to contact their financial institution directly for available options to transfer money to your TD Bank account.
Additionally, if you use Online Banking you can request money from someone else right there from www.tdbank.com! If you're not enrolled for Online Banking, you may do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY, you will need to provide your Social Security number, your TD bank ATM/Visa Debit Card number, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card or need assistance, please call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
Once enrolled, click on the Person-to-Person tab and select the "Request Money" option. The person who you are requesting the funds from will then receive a text message or e-mail notification regarding your request. This person can then choose what financial institution or account to debit the funds from. For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
We hope this information is helpful, Tom and have a great day!
