I will be opening the all inclusive account tomorrow. My question is how would I avoid paying the monthly fee on the first month. I was thinking of depositing a cheque on the same day but will this be enough to show that I have the minimum daily balance on the day of opening account? Please advise. If this is not the case (the cheque has to clear before it is counted as part of the daily balance). Do you offer any leeway like maybe a few days just to clear the cheque to avoid the monthly fee.

Thank you for considering TD Bank, James!
You'll be glad to know that many of our accounts do not require an immediate opening deposit, and you may have the first 30 days to make a deposit which meets the balance requirement for your account if applicable. After this timeframe, the minimum daily balance must be maintained in order to have monthly maintenance fee waived.
For new accounts that have been open less than 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the remainder of the funds should be available in your account on the following business day. You can review more info about funds availability beginning on page 41 of the Personal Deposit Account Agreement. We have that avaialbe online to review at https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ.
We also invite you to take a look at the accounts we have available. To take a look at our checking accounts, please visit https://go.td.com/2aHjRCr.
