For a first time home owner are there any special interest rates? If I live in NY and want to purchase a condo in NJ, do I have to do the loan process in NY or NJ? Or does it not matter?

Thanks for your question, Chris. Being a first time home buyer can be stressful and we'd be happy to help provide all the details we can.
First, we recommend taking a look at our mortgage page here: https://go.td.com/2aA2WPI. By following the link, you will have access to mortgage types as well as tips and tools to help you get started.
We also recommend taking a look at our First Time Home Buyer's kit which can be found here: https://go.td.com/1qPNwIO. It offers great insight on preparing to buy as well as determining if you're ready to do so.
In regards to mortgage rates and the application process, we recommend reaching out to a Specialist to discuss your specific lending scenario. You are able to visit any TD Store or you are able to reach our Financial Solutions Group Specialists 24/7 by dialing 800-937-5020. Once speaking with them, they will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

We hope to hear from you soon, Chris. We wish you the best of luck!
