Hi Hannah! Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps with your question.
When depositing a check made out to someone else other than yourself, we ask that the payee visit a local TD Bank Store with you so that they can sign an Endorsement Release. This form states that they agree to allow a check made payable to them to be deposited into an account to which they do not have access. We do require photo ID for the Endorsement Release form. It does not need to be in the form a driver's license or State ID. We also accept passports and other forms of photo ID.
We recommend contacting the Store you plan to visit prior to coming in so that you may confirm that the ID your boyfriend has will be accepted to sign this form and ultimately deposit his check into your account. To find contact info and hours for a TD Bank Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We hope this helps, Hannah. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores.
We hope you and your boyfriend are having a great day!
