We're sorry to hear this Donna,
Since your card was declined, we can offer you a few ways to reach us from abroad. Once you do, we'll be able to review the cause of this, remove any block and place a travel notification for you if needed.
First, you can reach us from outside the United States via phone at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. We're available 24/7 for your convenience and will be glad to assist once we speak with you.
Another easy way to contact us while away is to send us a Secure Message from your TD Bank Online Banking account. You can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq with your user name and password. Then, you can send us a secure message by clicking on the Customer Service tab, and using the Send a Message link with your inquiry.
If you did already place a travel note with us, please keep in mind that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We do recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For travel tips while overseas, feel free to visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our International Travel Tips Frequently Asked Questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
We do hope this is helpful and we look forward to your call or message, Donna.
All the best and we hope this will help you enjoy the rest of your time in Portugal!
