Welcome to the TD Helps Community, Henry. We are glad to assist you today.
If you deposit a check with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. Since you mentioned that your check was under $100, then these funds should be made available at the time of the deposit. Please note that if your account has not been opened for 30 days, checks deposited with a teller can be held up to 7 business days for verification purposes excluding the first $100. After this short time frame, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of the deposit, the rest of the funds will usually be credited to your account on the following business day.
If you choose to make a check deposit at a TD Bank ATM, please keep in mind for that if your account has not been opened for 90 days, first $100 will not be available at the time of deposit. Accounts that are less than 90 days old will generally see availability of funds the following business day.
Please keep in mind that deposits made through mobile banking will not have the first $100 available on the same business day. In most cases, the full amount becomes available the following business day. Your account will have to be 90 days or older in order to use this feature.
Please note, there are exceptions that may cause delays in your funds availability, we invite you to take a look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with the information about when you'll have access to deposits.
Thanks for stopping by, Henry and take care!
