Thanks for choosing TD Bank for your banking needs, Natasha.
Children learn how to manage money from their parents and they learn very young. Your attitude about money, and the actions you take to manage it, will have a lasting impact. We invite you to take a look at the different types of Savings Account we currently offer, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7. A popular account for minors that you may want to check out is our Young Saver account – it offers a great option to start saving for minors, while allowing you full control over the account as a Guardian. There's no minimum balance to keep and no monthly maintenance fees while still a minor.
To set up a Young Saver Savings account. You will need to visit your local TD Bank Store; during lobby hours and you will be listed as the custodian on this account. To find a TD Store location near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please keep in mind that you will need to provide a valid form of identification to open the account, such as a State License, State ID or Passport. Acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. At this time, minors are not required to be present during the account opening process.
We also invite you to follow here: http://bit.ly/JfrZaG, you will find some tips for teaching your children about money and how to manage it.
As always, you can reach out to a Banking Specialist anytime 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 if you have any questions. Or, if you'd prefer to sit down and discuss your options in person, please find the TD Bank Store closest to you, during lobby hours.
Lastly, you invite you to discuss the Checking account options for your children with our dedicated Store Representatives while you're there, so we may find the account best fits your needs.
Thanks again for stopping by, Natasha. Hope to see you soon.
