Thanks for your question, Joel. We'll be glad to cover debit card and transfer information.
Your TD Bank debit card has limits associated with it for security reasons. You are able to check out the standard limits for debit card usage here: http://go.td.com/1kb17UQ on pages 46 and 47.
If you ever need to raise your debit card limit, you are able to do so in a variety of ways. In many cases, you are able to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to raise your limit over the phone. You can also send a secure message. To send a secure message using Online Banking, please sign in and select 'Send a secure message' located in the 'Message Center' on the left hand side of the page. For Mobile Banking, select the option to 'Contact Us' followed by 'Send a secure message' after signing in. In your message, be sure to specify which limit you'd like to raise (ATM, Visa or debit) as well as specify the amount.
You are also able to visit any TD Store for any temporary or permanent increases.
Based on your question though, it sounds like you're attempting to make a transfer to someone else. We recommend checking out our transfer feature, known as Send Money. It might help you to know that the limits for this service are higher than you expect! You are able to learn more about this service here: https://go.td.com/2om5M3X and please see the limits listed here: http://bit.ly/2q2Dtp1. To sign up, you can follow the instructions below.
If you're already signed up for Online Banking, you are able to sign in here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq.
Once logged in, please select the Send Money tab. If you have not already done so, you will first need to enroll in the service. To do so, please complete the following:
-Ensure your phone number and email address are up to date
-Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
-A verification code sent to the phone number and email address on file automatically
-Enter the code to verify your email/phone
Once the enrollment is complete, you are able to select Send to begin the transfer process. You will then need to create a contact by following the prompts.
Please know that in order to use this feature, you will need a U.S. address, phone number, email address and an active debit card.
If you have any trouble, please reach out to our Tech Support Specialists 24/7 at 800-493-7562.
If we misunderstood your inquiry, Joel, feel free to reply with additional details and we'll be glad to help the best we can. Have a great afternoon!
