Is this true? I always assumed a bank check was the same as cash (especially since it was from a bank less than one mile away). My daughter still cannot see her account on line and we did this on Saturday. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Thanks for writing, Lori! We'd be happy to help.
When making a check deposit with a Teller, at one of our TD Store locations, the first $100 is made available immediately. For new account holders that have not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held for 5-7 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will be credited to your account the following business day.
Check deposits made at a TD Bank ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. If you make a deposit at an ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day that we are open, we will consider that to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM after 8:00 PM, or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day.

If your daughter is having trouble viewing her new account online, please ask her to contact our Banking Specialist 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000. After one of our Specialists has verified her with the proper identification information, they’ll be able to help her with her Online Banking in no time. Also she can visit her local TD Bank Store with her valid photo ID during the lobby hours, where a Representative will be able to help her. Please check here http://bit.ly/TDStores for Store locations and hours near her.
Hope this helps and have a great one, Lori!
