Welcome to TD Helps, Laura! We'd be glad to help your daughter open another account with TD!
We first recommend that your daughter takes a look at the checking accounts we offer by visiting here: http://go.td.com/1txYvMZ. She is also able to receive a custom recommendation by using our Checking Selector Tool by visiting here: http://go.td.com/1vW1xnU.
Once your daughter is ready to open a checking account, she is able to do so by visiting any TD Store, calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or, by opening her account online by selecting "Open Account" beneath the product of her choosing.
During account opening, she will be able to request a debit card. Please know that accounts that are opened over the phone or online will have to have a debit card sent to the address she provides. The debit card may take up to 7-10 business days to arrive.
In regards to her passbook savings account, please know that a passbook account is unable to be linked to a debit card at this time. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.
We hope that this information helps out, Laura!
