In reply to Lester, Calgary
We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your debit card, Lester, and we appreciate you coming to TD Helps for assistance today.
We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
A debit card may be declined for a few different reasons, including insufficient funds, a problem with the merchant, card information having been entered incorrectly for online purchases, or even a temporary block having been added in the case of possible fraud.
While we'd like to confirm with you directly why your card may not be working, please understand that TD Helps is unfortunately not considered a secure forum of contact. Because of this, we'd like to recommend that you connect with us directly so that we may better assist you with your card.
You're first welcome to call and speak with one of our Banking Specialist, 24/7, who can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000. Our Customer Service Representatives are also here to help at any number of our Store locations, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
If you're unable to call or visit a Store location, we understand, and would then like to recommend that you send us a secure message. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
Additionally, we notice that you're contacting us today from Alberta, Canada, and just in case you may be having trouble with your TD Canada Trust Access Card, please know that you are currently speaking with TD Bank, partner of TD Canada Trust in the United States.
