In reply to Nancy, Garwood
Thank you for reaching out to us today, Nancy, and we apologize to hear about your loss. Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
As your father has passed away, if he maintains accounts with us we'll be able to assist the Executor or Administrator of the estate with his accounts.
In order to access the accounts, the Executor or Administrator must provide the following documentations to a TD Bank Store: Photo identification, Copy of the Death Certificate, and an original Certificate of Letters Testamentary or Letters of Administration with raised seal dated within 60 days; and a Letter of Instructions signed by all the Executors or Administrators with signature guaranteed by another financial institution. The documents needed may vary by State and we do recommend that you get in touch with the TD Store you intend to visit prior to stopping in, to ensure you'll have all the required paperwork with you. They'll also be best able to advise you regarding any questions you may have regarding the Power of Attorney you have, if needed.
Please see a listing of our TD Bank Store locations nearest to where your father lived, including hours and contact information here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. If you have any questions about this process, we recommend calling your preferred TD Bank Store prior to your visit, and a Representative will be happy to assist you. We can also be reached 24/7 at 888-751-9000 if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.
Thanks again for getting in touch, Nancy.
We hope this provides some direction and we wish you and your family the best.
