We appreciate your visit here at TD Helps today, Bruce.
There are several ways for you to make deposits into a TD Bank account. One way you could make a deposit would be by visiting a TD Bank location with cash and the account number. Another way to make a deposit would be to make a check payable to the individual and write “for deposit only” with the account number on the back of the check. Regardless of the option you choose, the deposit can be processed with a Teller in the Lobby or Drive-thru at any TD Bank location. Check out http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank location near you.
We hope this information is helpful, Bruce and take care!

I asked for the details of how to do a money transfer to a TD account.
What is the Routing Number? Can I use her ATM (Debit Card) number or must I know her checking account number?

Welcome back Bruce,
Based on the account type your granddaughter has with us, your transfer options can vary. From your message, it sounds like she may have a checking account with us. If your bank offers the option, you can complete a direct transfer (ACH) using her routing and account numbers.
You're welcome to find a listing of our routing numbers by State here: http://bit.ly/1cmRPoF. Kindly note that routing numbers are assigned based on the State of account opening and if you're not sure where hers was established, we recommend checking with her. Kindly note that a transfer to her debit card directly won't be able to be completed and we apologize for any inconvenience. If either of you have questions about this, we can be reached around the clock 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
In your original message, you mention that your granddaughter only has a debit card. We'd like to call your attention to a prepaid card that we offer (typically for teens), which is the TD Go Card. You're welcome to view some helpful information about our TD Go card right here: http://bit.ly/1j8sgt2, and please see our Go Card Frequently Asked Questions here: http://bit.ly/1gRpCay, This card has specific loading options so for this reason, we recommend checking with your granddaughter to see which type of account she has. If she does happen to have a Go card, any questions can be answered by calling us 24/7 on 855-219-8050.
Thanks again for getting in touch, Bruce.
We hope this provides some clarity! We wish you a great night.
