My husband lives in Canada, but I'm in the US. How can we transfer money across accounts without incurring huge fees or bad exchange rates?

TD Bank U.S. is affiliated with TD Canada Trust; you may want to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking options if Checking accounts are set up with both financial institutions. You can transfer funds between your TD Bank. U.S. and TD Canada Trust accounts at free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 by calling 1-877-700-2913, who can answer any questions you may have regarding Cross Border Banking.
To open a new Checking account with TD Bank U.S., you can call a Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000. If you and/or your husband both do not have TD accounts you can make wire transfers.
For U.S. Currency Transfers being sent to TD Bank, you want to include the following information:
Wire to: TD Bank, N.A. Wilmington, Delaware ABA: 0311-0126-6
Please note that your complete name as it appears on your account along with your account number must be included.
For Foreign Currency Transfers being sent to TD Bank you need to include additional information:
Correspondent Bank SWIFT Code: TDOMCATTTOR Correspondent Bank: The Toronto Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5k 1A2 Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: NRTHUS33XXX. And also include the Beneficiary Bank: TD Bank, N.A. 6000 Atrium Way, Mt Laurel, NJ 08054.

Payment should be received within three to five business days. We will post all incoming wires the banking day they are received. International wire transfers sent by US Dollars can be received until 6:30 p.m. or if the incoming wire is Foreign Currency it can be received until 3:30 p.m. on the current banking day.
