Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps and we are very sorry for you loss. We can provide the information that you need to take care of your husband's banking affairs.
In order to finalize his accounts, you would need to be named as the executor/administrator and visit any TD Bank Store to provide documentation such as a copy of the Death Certificate. In addition, other documentation may be required depending on the State, such as a 'Short Certificate,' 'Certificate of Letters Testamentary' or 'Letters of Administration,' for example. The Death Certificate will provide the date of death if the date-of-death balance for the account is needed.
Please note that as these documents vary by State, we recommend contacting your home Store directly, or calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to confirm what documentation is needed. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
We hope this helps you, Barbara and we send our condolences to you and your family.
