Borrowing & Managing Your Credit
In reply to AVRAHAM, WESTBURY NY
Thanks so much for your question today, Ron. We'll be happy to discuss the options you have to protect your account from overdrafts.
First, we invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1AlDFOr for more information regarding the overdraft options available through TD Bank. Although we're unable to offer the option to use your credit card as overdraft protection at this time, don't worry as we offer other ways you can protect your account.
Right now, you'll be able to link a savings or line of credit to your checking account for overdraft protection, which can be accessed for funds should the linked checking account become overdrawn. Descriptions of these options can also be found at the first link mentioned above. Please note that fees can apply in the instance that TD Bank transfers funds for you, and see our current Fee Schedule at http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for additional info. To compare these options, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1lx9Xko.
Please note that if you're currently using our overdraft service called TD Debit Card Advance, which is mentioned at the link above, this is optional overdraft service we offer with our checking accounts that may help you avoid debit card declines. If your account is enrolled in this service, we may allow you to authorize ATM transactions or one-time debit card purchases even if you don't have enough money available in your account, and is not a traditional form of overdraft protection. If your account is enrolled in this service, you may like to review your options to ensure your account is set up as you prefer. If you're currently using this feature, we ask that you take a look here: http://bit.ly/1voNBCy for more details and also here: http://bit.ly/Yv0ulC for more specific information.
For any assistance you may need or for help setting one of these up, feel free to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Or, if you'll be nearby one of our Stores, feel free to stop in during our extended lobby hours. If you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you.
Hope these options help, Ron! Thanks again for reaching out and have a great one.
