Hi there Brittney,
We understand there may be difficult times, so we're glad you stopped by to chat with us about this!
Since you mentioned that you're 17 right now, we'll be glad to review the options you have with us here at TD.
First, in order to open an individual account with TD Bank, you're required to be 18 years of age or older. With that being said, for those under the age of 18, you're welcome to open a joint Checking or Savings account with a parent or guardian by visiting any TD Bank Store.
If that is a possibility for you, then we recommend familiarizing yourself with the accounts we offer, as you might find one that fits your request. You'll be glad to know that TD Bank offers a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/1gAWlhY to view our Checking Selector and visit http://bit.ly/UbFOwS for the different types of Checking accounts TD Bank offers. TD Bank also offers different types of Savings accounts; for more information, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, and for a personalized recommendation, click here: http://bit.ly/1hQscMj.
If you decide to open an account, your parent or guardian will want to bring a valid form of ID with them, such as a Driver's license, State ID or U.S. Passport, and acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, U.S. Birth Certificate or Social Security card. Joint accounts may only be opened at a TD Bank location. Please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a TD Store near you.
Any questions at all, we're here to help! Just give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and we'll be happy to assist.
Please let us know if you have any other questions, Brittney.
Best of luck with your banking and have a great night!
