Besides the a/c with my mother, I have a joint account with my wife. We live in New Jersey. My mother, before she died, lived in Delaware, where our safe deposit is. We want to keep both checking accounts open and use the safe deposit box. All I want to do is remove my mother from the account.
How do I accomplish this?

We offer our sincere condolences, Ronald. We'd be glad to help.
We understand wanting to maintain the accounts you have as well as the safe deposit box. As you mentioned that the safe deposit box itself is located at a Store in Delaware, we recommend visiting that specific Store for assistance.
You are able to take the Death Certificate to the Store in which the safe deposit box is held to have your mother removed from both the account and box. To confirm the TD Store as well as their address, phone number and hours please visit here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We also recommend reaching out to the TD Store prior to your trip to ensure no additional documents will be needed.
We hope this helps, Ronald and have a good day.
