Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Kathleen. We'd be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
In order to have access to your nephews account, you would first need to be added as a signer to his account, if you have not done so already. To add a signer to an existing TD Checking or Savings account, both the account holder(s) and prospective signers would have to visit a TD Store to speak with a Representative in person.
Please make sure to bring proper identification (Driver's License, State issued photo ID, Passport, etc.) and Social Security number.
To take a look at TD Stores near you and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. You are also able to make an appointment at a location near you by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
As you've mentioned that your nephew is incarcerated at this time, we recommend reaching out to the TD Store in which he originally opened the account to determine if there are any additional options available at this time.
We hope this helped answer your question, Kathleen, and please enjoy the rest of your day
