card or get any money. He has tried to call but his calls will not go thru. Please advise. He needs to have access to his funds. He is in a foreign land!

Thank you for reaching us on TD Helps, Kimberly. We're sorry to hear that your son's card is not working but we'd be happy to point you both in the right direction for assistance.
When traveling, we always advise our Customers to provide us with the dates and destinations of their travels so we may notate their accounts. Even if your son has done so, sometimes even when a note is placed on the account our automated advanced fraud early warning systems may block the debit card until we are able to verify the activity with the account holder.
To determine why your son's card is not working now, we would need to review the account with him directly. A convenient way he can contact us while out of the country is to send us a Secure Message from within his Online Banking account. He can log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, and then visit the Customer Service tab. He can find the Send a Message link in the left column and message us with his concerns.
If he doesn't have online access at this time, he is also welcome to reach one of our Banking Specialists for assistance, 24/7. From outside the United States he can reach us on-1-856-751-9000 or call us collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. The U.S. country code is 1-011.
