Great question, Chris, and thanks for stopping by TD Helps for your answer. We are happy to assist you!
Please kindly keep in mind that you cannot use TD Bank Mobile Deposit to deposit:
Checks that are not payable to you or your joint account holder
Checks that have already been deposited
Foreign checks (drawn on a bank that is located outside of the United States and/or not payable in U.S. Dollars)
We invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more information along with the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for TD Bank Mobile Deposit. If you have any additional inquiries, feel free to contact our Banking Specialists at 800-493-7562 available 24/7.
As you mentioned that you have a check made payable to your minor child, if the check is less than $300.00 you may deposit the check into your TD Bank account with a bank Teller at a local TD Bank Store location. To do this, you would first need to endorse the check as if it was written to you. Then, beneath your signature you would need to write, ‘Parent of Minor.’ The funds would then clear your account as if you made a check deposit for yourself. Please note; you can even cash this check right after depositing this check if you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the amount of this check.
If this check is over $300.00, we would also recommend reviewing your options with your local TD Bank Store, prior to visiting. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores. You may also feel free to contact us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 for any additional questions you may have.
If we can assist you again, please feel free to write to us anytime! We hope this helps and enjoy your day.
