Good morning, Susan. Thanks for coming to TD Helps for answers today.
Here at TD Bank, we offer a service to our Customers which allows them to transfer funds to anyone by using either their phone number, email address, or even their account number. This service is called Send Money, and is completely free to our Customers. Based on the information you have provided us with, it sounds like this is what your son used to send you funds.
Typically speaking, when using this feature to send funds, your son would have had the option to select either an Instant Transfer, or a Standard Payment. Instant Transfer allows the transfer to be sent instantly, while a Standard Payment typically takes 3 business days. As today is a Federal Holiday, and the Federal Reserve is closed, transactions will not post until tomorrow, July 5th., which may result in a delay.
If you have a TD Bank account, and that is the account you are receiving your funds into, we invite you to check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. On pages 40-44, you will find out Funds Availability Policy, which will provide more information on when you may expect your funds.
If your son is unaware of which delivery option he chose, either Instant Transfer of Standard Payment, he may reach out to a Tech Support Specialists at 800-493-7562, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for further assistance with this specific transfer. As always, he is also able to visit a TD Store location during lobby hours. Please note that TD Store locations are closed today due to the Federal Holiday; however, you may locate our Store locations and hours by visiting this link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this helps clear up any confusion, Susan. Have a great Fourth of July!
