He was on campus of his college. He said the machine didn't have any of the symbols on his card. Is that possible or is there a problem with his card? I am also on his account

Hi Laura. Thanks for reaching out to us today.
There are a few reasons for this to occur, which may have nothing to do with your son's debit card. We'd like to take a look at his recent transactions and attempts so that we can better advise you why this has occurred and help to get it fixed.
While we can review the transactions with you since you're on the account as well, we may need to verify some transactions with your son. Sometimes specific transactions can cause a debit card to be blocked. While we don't know if this is the case, we must make you aware that in order to have your son's card re-activated (if necessary), we will need to speak with him. While the account is jointly owned, the cards are individually owned.
As TD Helps is considered an unsecure forum, we do not have access to specific account information to help directly, but please ask your son to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at a local TD Bank Store once they reopen tomorrow. To find one near him or yourself, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
We look forward to hearing from you or your son soon and getting this resolved. Have a good day, Laura.
