wil use for down payment. If he deposits that today will he be able to acces the money on Thursday or Friday? my son uses your bank and will be purchasing a house, closing on Friday. He is getting a check from his cr 403(b) account today which he will use for down payment. If he deposits that today will he be able to access the money on Thursday or Friday?
Also, is there a way we can deposit the check on his behalf? The check is coming to our house, an hour and a half away, so if we could just deposit to his account that would be easier for us--but don't think we can w/o him endorsing it...

Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, Steve. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to help.
When a check deposit is made, it will typically be fully available on the following business day. However, in some instances, funds may be held longer for verification purposes. Because there are exceptions that may cause delays in funds availability, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. On pages 40-44 you will find our Funds Availability Policy, along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
In addition to the information provided above, please note that depending on when the deposit is made, this may also affect when the funds become available. In order for a deposit to be accepted for the same business day, it will need to be initiated to the account before 8 PM. If a deposit is made after 8 PM, we will consider the deposit having been made on the following business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays.
For example, if you made a deposit on a Saturday, that deposit will be considered Monday's deposit, and will post to the account Tuesday.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know that, at this time, anyone is able to make a deposit into an account, even if they are not currently a signer on that account. You may make this deposit by visiting a TD Store either in the lobby or drive up window. As you have stated that your son will not be available to sign this check for deposit, you may simple write 'For Deposit Only' on the endorsement line on the back of the check. To take a look at TD Stores near you and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope this information was helpful, Steve. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you, and we hope you have a great day.
