When I try to make online purchases it says my card has been put on hold.

Based on the information you have provided us with, it sounds like your Gift Card may not be registered, resulting in acceptance issues. You'll be happy to know that once you have registered your TD Bank Gift Card, it can be used for purchases anywhere Visa is accepted, and you'll be protected in case your card is lost or stolen!

Once you have completed the prompts, you'll be able to check your account and proceed with making purchases. It's important to note that, while registering for the first time, your initial password will be the three-digit security code on the signature panel of the back of your card. We encourage you to change your password after signing in for the first time, for your security.
