Welcome to TD Helps, Patricia. We're happy to clear up any confusion.
If the payment and the transfer occurred on the same business day, you will not be assessed an overdraft fee. However, if they occurred on separate business days, a fee may be assessed. We invite you to take a look at http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information regarding our cutoff times. Pages 35-37 detail all of our deposit availability information. Also take a look at our supplement to Personal Deposit Agreement located on page 2.
We would like to let you know that we offer several different Overdraft Protection services in the event that you are unable to make the transfer. For more information to choose which option is the best for you, we invite you to take a look here: http://bit.ly/1AlDFOr. We'll also explain each form of Overdraft Protection service in details here.
A form of Overdraft Protection service that TD Bank currently offers is an option to link a TD Savings Account to your Personal TD Checking Account as a Savings Overdraft Account. In the case of an overdraft situation, if there are sufficient funds in the Savings Account to cover the negative balance in the Checking Account, funds should automatically be transferred. In the event an automatic transfer is made to cover a Checking account overdraft, a nominal fee will be charged. For more specific information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1lmjVaq. You may request this option by calling us at 1-888-751-9000, after account verification, any one of our dedicated Banking Specialists would be happy to help. There is a form that would need to be completed and signed before we can begin this service for you. If you wish, we can have this form mailed directly to you or one can be obtained from your local TD Bank Store location. To find out the nearest TD Store near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you do not have a Savings Account, please take a moment to review the different types of Savings Account TD Bank offers: http://bit.ly/1qFEY8j or feel free to check out our Savings Account Selector Tool for a customized recommendation: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF. You can open the account Online, over the phone at the number provided above, or at a TD Store, during lobby hours.
Similarly, you can apply for a TD Moneyline Overdraft Protection. For more specific information on this type of Overdraft Protection, take a look here: http://bit.ly/J7b4XR. You can apply online via this link or you can give us a call 24/7 at 800-937-5020.
We hope that this helps out, Patricia. Have a wonderful day.
