Welcome to TD Helps, Jean! We'd be glad to help you obtain a lien release.
If the Auto Loan that was held with TD Bank, please know that to obtain this documentation, a fax is required. Please fax the following information to our Consumer Release Department at 207-755-4245:
• Your full name, address, and Social Security Number
• The account number, if it is available
• The year, make, model and VIN, and the date it was paid off, if available
• Your request for Discharge Papers/Release of Lien
• Your signature
We also recommend including your best contact number and your return fax number so that we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Please keep in mind that the turnaround time for the request is typically 3-5 business days.
As you mentioned that you have already submitted this information, we recommend contacting us directly to determine the status of the lien release. You are able to contact our Financial Solutions Group 24/7 at 800-937-5020.
Please note that if your Auto Loan was financed via TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative for instructions to obtain your Release of Lien. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
