Thanks for contacting TD Helps today, William. We'll be happy to point you in the right direction.
At this time, we offer Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposit services, which allow you to deposit a check, even when you are unable to visit your nearest TD Store location. TD Bank Mobile Deposits are available for most iPhone and Android devices.
If you are not currently enrolled for our Online Banking, you must first be enrolled. You may do so by visiting here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security Number, your TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your account number, and your email address. If you do not have the pieces of information required to enroll, you may contact our Digital Banking Specialists, 24/7, at 800-493-7562 and they will be happy to help you enroll in Online Banking.
After you are enrolled in Online Banking, you may download the app by visiting https://go.td.com/1opBqUt. The user name and password that Mobile Banking will ask you for is the same as the one you've created for Online Banking.
Please note; there are daily limits and 30-day limits on our Mobile Deposits. The limits on mobile deposits depend on the length of your relationship with TD Bank. The limits are subject to change, so we invite you to visit: https://go.td.com/1e3jiYF for more information on Mobile Deposit.
If you make a deposit through TD Bank Mobile Deposit, and you submit the deposit before 8:00 p.m. ET on a business day, that is considered the date of your deposit; otherwise, the next business day is considered the date of your deposit. Your funds are generally available on the business day following the date of your deposit. Please keep in mind that deposits made through mobile banking will not have the first $100 available on the same business day. In most cases, the full amount becomes available the following business day.
If Mobile Deposit is not an option for you, you also have the option to mail your deposit to the following address:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily, and transactions are posted the same day. Also, please keep in mind that TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail - Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same - Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only") - Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed - Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy - If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly - Do not staple transactions
When making check deposits by mail, the first $100.00 is made available immediately as soon as we receive the check. If you are a new account holder, and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits may be held up to 7 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100.00 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
If you have any questions about when your deposit will become available for your use, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. On pages 40-44 you can find our Funds Availability Policy, along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
We hope this helps, William. Enjoy the rest of your day, and have a great weekend.
