I am attending the University of Toronto and need to open a bank account in Toronto. I currently have an account with TD in US. What documents do I need and I can open it here, in the US?

Hi Laura! Thanks for reaching out to us with a great question.
We're glad to hear you're interested in opening an account with TD Canada Trust! There are so many great cross border options we offer, especially free wire transfers between your TD accounts. We encourage you to review some of our Cross Border features at https://go.td.com/1ienPN4.
Since you've already got a U.S. TD Bank account, it should be relatively easy to open a TD Canada Trust Account. Simply give our Cross Border Banking Team a call at 877-700-2913. Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help get the account opened up for you. As TD Canada Trust may require some documentation, we recommend inquiring with the representative you speak with at that number as to what those documents may be.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to give our Cross Border Banking Team a call. You can also reach out to TD Canada Trust directly by calling their 24/7 Customer Service line at 866-222-3456.
We wish you the best of luck at the University of Toronto and look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a great summer, Laura!
