If you happen to lose your debit card while on vacation, don't worry as you'll still be able to get in touch with us about this via Secure Message, if your account is enrolled in Online Banking. After logging in, click the Customer Service tab and use the Send a Message link with your request. We'll be able to close your card once we receive your note. Kindly note that we would like to assist you here, but we won't be able to access your account as TD Helps is not considered a secured forum for your confidential information.
If you find that you do have access to a phone, you may contact us from outside the United States at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. For your convenience, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The US country code is 1-011.
Once we hear from you and we have closed your card, we can also mail a new card to you at your current location or to your home address, and feel free to ask for instructions on this when you get in touch with us. Or, you'll be able to stop in at any of our Stores when you get back to pick one up. Feel free to find a location nearby you at http://bit.ly/TDStores, and we can issue you one instantly during your visit. We'll also be sure to review your account with you and make sure all transactions are yours.
Since you've mentioned that you will be traveling overseas, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your account. You are able to call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Representatives will be glad to add a Travel Notification.
You may also request to place a travel note if you send us a secured message. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." Be sure to include the dates that you will be abroad as well as any connecting flight information.
