I opened a convenience checking account online in Canada for cross border shopping. But I did not get a chance to fund it as travel plans changed and I did not visit the US. Can you please confirm that the account will be deactivated without penalty as I did not make the $100 opening deposit within 10 days of opening? I would like to open an account the next time I visit.
