I used to have a TD account and closed it when i moved to Hawaii. I now plan to move to Florida and would like to start a new checking account.
The drop down menu only allows me states where you bank, not where i currently reside (for now...).
How can i open an account?

Welcome to the TD Helps Community, Edwin Daniel! We appreciate you considering TD and are here to help get you started.
You may certainly open an account in Florida if you currently live in Hawaii. TD Bank is proud to offer Store locations from Maine to Florida. However, it is not necessary to live within the TD footprint in order to open an account with us.
If you don't currently live in a State with a TD Bank Store, you'll be happy to learn that you can still open an account with us by phone. To do so, feel free to give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with one of our dedicated Banking Specialists. They will be more than happy to help you set up your account. Since you mentioned opening an account in Florida, you can also establish an account by visiting one of our Stores if you'll be in our area. To find a listing of our Store locations and lobby hours please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Feel free review the convenient account types we currently offer on our website to find accounts which best suit you. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit: http://bit.ly/1aFGBWX or use our Checking Selector at: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting an account that is the best fit you. To view and compare savings account products, click here: http://bit.ly/1kO6zg0, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector: http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for you and your needs.
If you are able to verify an address within our footprint, you are also welcome to use our website for the account opening process. You can open the account after choosing your account above by clicking on the "Open Account" box, which will be listed at the bottom of each account's details.
With the many ways of opening your account, to begin the application, you'll need your Social Security number and a valid personal identification such as Driver's license, State ID, and Passport.
We hope this can ease your mind, Edwin Daniel. Have a wonderful week.
